Nets

Take card payments on a Nets terminal at the till.

What is this?

The Nets extension lets you take card payments on a Nets terminal connected to a till. The cashier sees it as Nets terminal, in both Flow Client and Flow Assistant.

How does it work?

Each till is paired with one terminal, and a till can only carry one terminal brand at a time.

Register the sale as normal and choose Nets terminal. Flow Retail sends the amount to the paired terminal, the customer pays there, and the till shows the terminal's status messages as the payment runs.

A refund can go either way. Flow Retail can send it against the original transaction with no card present, or put it through the terminal with the customer's card when the original cannot be pinned down.

How do we get started?

Ask us to switch on the Nets extension for your organization. Everything after that is yours to do.

Add the Nets payment method under Admin → Settings → Payment Methods.

Then, for each store: add the extension under Admin → Stores → [store] → Extensions and fill in the User name and Password for your Nets account. Select Validate credentials to check them before you go further — Nets is the only card terminal that can confirm this from Flow Admin.

Activate the payment method for the store under Payment Methods. Then open each till under Tills, set Payment Terminal to Nets, and set the Nets Terminal ID. Flow Retail fetches the terminals on your account, so you can pick it from the list, or enter it by hand.

The payment method stays hidden on a till until both the terminal type and the terminal ID are set.
